AUD $149.00 Tax Free

This rehabilitation program has been developed by Dr Alison Grimaldi, expert physiotherapist and a key investigator on a multicentre university trial published in the British Medical Journal. In this trial, around 80% of people with gluteal tendinopathy (+/- bursitis) had a successful outcome within 8 weeks, and this high success rate remained at 12 months. This program has now been adapted by Dr Grimaldi so that you can follow the advice and perform exercises from your own home.

Description

Gluteal tendinopathy is the main cause of pain from the soft tissues at the side of the hip. Some people also have trochanteric bursitis and together these conditions are referred to as Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome. These soft tissue conditions are most common in older women but can also occur in men and younger athletes. In older women, this problem interferes substantially with sleep, physical activity, and the impacts on quality of life have been shown to be similar to advanced osteoarthritis. The good news – this is not osteoarthritis! And there is much that can be done to get this pain under control and get back to physical activity and living the life you love!

The first step is understanding your condition – the different diagnoses and their causes. This lays the foundation for our detailed educational lessons on strategies for managing this condition. These lessons give you the tools to help get this condition under control and keep it at bay for the longer term.

This rehabilitation program also includes a multilevel exercise program, progressing from early to advanced level exercises.

Please note, the content in this rehabilitation program is informational in nature and is not personalised medical advice. We recommend you check with your general practitioner before beginning an exercise program.
